When you hear someone says "this product or service is good quality", what does that means?
it can means 1 or more of the following definition:
Judgmental Perspective
it means the product show a cut above the rest of similar product. an example that display such perspectives is Lexus, BMW. Consumer concern more about what the product can help project/enhance his/her personal image.
Product-Based Perspective
Some people like to count, for example, the thickness of a book of the same topic can give consumer different feeling of its quality. the number of pages can show a great preference.
User-Based Perspective
Nokia and Sony Ericsson is both outstanding handphone manufacturer, or better to narate as marketer, their consumer have a different taste of the product in hand. Nokia's consumer or Nokia fans favor on Nokia design, simplicity, they feel proud of holding Nokia handphone, on the other hands, Sony Ericsson fans will not perceive Nokia as high quality product, if they will, they would have holding Nokia instead of Sony Ericsson.
